Oceania Cruises' Nautica Debuts Down Under Miami, FL, January 9, 2008 - Oceania Cruises’ Nautica debuted in glorious Sydney, Australia today, kicking off her inaugural season of sailings to Australia and New Zealand. Nautica arrived from Europe after a 45-day journey from Rome via Singapore and during her two-day inaugural stay in Sydney, she will host hundreds of top-producing Australian travel agents and media as the ship and the line’s award-winning product are showcased Down Under for the very first time.
“Australia and New Zealand are extremely important destinations and source markets for us and I am delighted that so many agents will be our guests aboard Nautica over the next few days and in the coming weeks," stated Bob Binder, President of Oceania Cruises.
Glistening like new, Nautica recently completed a $5 million refit at the Union Naval shipyard in Marseille, France. During the refit, all soft furnishing were replaced or renewed, all new carpeting was laid throughout the public rooms and accommodations and more than $1 million was spent installing new bathrooms in the ship’s 52 Penthouse Suites.
Each of the Penthouse Suites is now resplendent with a new granite and marble bathroom which boasts all new flooring, countertops and vanities, bathtubs and fixtures. In addition, new 20” and 26” flat-screen LCD televisions with DVD players were installed in all of the Penthouse Suites, Concierge Level Veranda Staterooms and Stateroom accommodations.
Nautica will sail a total of four voyages in Australia and New Zealand during her inaugural season and return again in 2009 and 2010. “Australasia was the most requested new destination in our company’s history and subsequently became the fastest-selling voyages we currently offer. We’re eagerly anticipating the day we can dedicate one of our ships for a full-season of voyages Down Under,” added Binder.

Viking appears on the Gold List for the fourth time. Viking River Cruises was also included in the "Best Small Ship Cruise Lines" in the November 2007 "Readers' Choice" issue.
"Gold List recognition is a great honor," says Torstein Hagen, Founding Chairman of Viking River Cruises. "It is the ultimate endorsement by sophisticated world travelers. Although it has gained much attention in the past few years, river cruising is still a 'best-kept secret' in some circles, so we are especially pleased that the quality of our product compares favorably with that of the best ocean cruise lines."
In naming a travel company to the Gold List, Condé Nast Traveler reevaluates the rankings given to the magazine's annual "Readers' Choice" issue based upon more general categories and asks readers to give specific commentary about each of the nominees. One Condé Nast Traveler voter commented, "There's something so magical about floating down the river with all these historical sites around you."

| Crystal Debuts VIP Access To British Open And Golf Excursions At Exclusive British Isles Clubs LOS ANGELES, February 19, 2008 - In keeping with increasing demand for extraordinary experiences, Crystal Cruises is introducing VIP access to the British Open and excursions to four of the world's finest and most prestigious British Isles courses. Available during Crystal Symphony's 12-day sailing roundtrip from London on July 13, the golf excursions offer play at Gleneagles King's Course, The Royal Belfast Golf Club, and other coveted courses.
Complementing these tours are two opportunities for golf enthusiasts to attend the British Open at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Liverpool, which will feature top players Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and defending champion Padraig Harrington. One option provides admittance, while the other extends VIP access to the final round and a hosted event.
"The ports of Scotland and Ireland are a natural for a luxury golf experience, and we've made these exclusive courses very accessible for avid golfers," said John Stoll, Crystal Cruises' director, land programs. "Even if couples or families have only one golfing member, Crystal is providing a perfect European vacation. One can golf for five of the 11 days, while the others can enjoy Crystal's luxury resort and a wealth of sightseeing opportunities in the British Isles."
Guests can take advantage of standard Crystal amenities that are par for the course, including the instruction of an onboard PGA golf pro, Taylormade equipment for onboard clinics, a putting green and a driving range.
Courses include:
- · Gleneagles King's Course
Since its opening in 1919, the challenging Edinburgh course tests the skills of golf's aristocracy - both veteran and professional;
Designed with major tournament play in mind, the Arnold Palmer Course at the Kildare Hotel & Country Club in Dublin hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup;
- · O'Meara Course at Carton House
The parkland course in Dublin, designed by U.S. Open and Masters Champion Mark O'Meara, presents a challenge to even the most focused golfers; and
- · The Royal Belfast Golf Club
Founded in 1881, the golf club is the oldest in Ireland, providing golfers with a true test of their skills.
The flexible program allows travelers to spend two full days at the Gleneagles club. In Dublin, guests can split their time between K-Club and O'Meara, and devote another full day at the Royal Belfast Golf Club.
The British Isles itinerary also offer a host of experiential tours for non-golfers, with more than a dozen excursion opportunities in virtually every port visited. Options range from Guinness and Scotch tastings to a Falconry lesson at a private estate to a hot air balloon ride over Belfast.

For added convenience, guests can ship their golf clubs from the U.S. through Crystal's partnership with Luggage Concierge.
| Crystal Ships Earn Top Honors From Condé Nast Traveler Readers LOS ANGELES, February 8, 2008 - The ships of the Crystal Cruises fleet have once again been voted by the travel-savvy readers of Condé Nast Traveler as the best medium-sized ships in the world. Ultra-luxury Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony were ranked #1 and #2, respectively, in the magazine's eighth annual "Best Cruise Ships in the World" issue.
Although the medium-sized category includes ships carrying between 500-1,500 passengers, Crystal Serenity's overall score of 94.6 ranked higher than every other ship with more than 120 passengers. Crystal Symphony ranked second, with an overall score of 93.8.
Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, respectively, earned some of their highest ever scores for Food/Dining (96.4 and 96.3), Crew/Service (97.2 and 96.3), Facilities/Activities (96.0 and 93.7), Cabins (91.1 for both) and Design/Layout (97.1 and 95.4). Travelers also appreciated Crystal's increasing focus on special-interest, limited availability experiences ashore. Crystal's Shore Excursions (89.1 and 87.6) were voted several points ahead of most ships in the survey.
"To receive such high praise from the very people who have experienced vacations on our ships makes us very proud," says Crystal Cruises' president, Gregg L. Michel. "This honor acknowledges our staff's devotion to creating the best possible experiences for our guests, while always upholding the highest standard of excellence."
Condé Nast Traveler asked its subscribers to rate 258 ships on a 100-point scale. A total of 81 ships are reviewed in the February 2008 eighth annual "Best Ships" issue.
Crystal ships have long been celebrated for outstanding performance in all of these areas. A steadfast commitment to the Six-Star Crystal Basics - the line's credo for ensuring that all guests' needs are fulfilled - has made Crystal the category winner in Condé Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice poll more than any other resort, hotel or cruise line in history.
Attesting to the consistent quality of its onboard experience, the luxury line was voted "World's Best" in Travel + Leisure's most recent readers' survey. Crystal Cruises is the only cruise line, resort or hotel to have won the prestigious award each year since the awards' inception.
From seven- and 12- day vacations in Europe to epic 100+-day World Cruises, space, quality, service and choices are the cornerstone of the Crystal experience. Crystal is renowned for consistently advancing its sophisticated culinary programs, which this year includes the certification of all wine sommeliers by the Court of Master Sommeliers. In March, Crystal expands its partnership with Nobu Matsuhisa when he launches Silk Road and The Sushi Bar on Crystal Symphony.
The Crystal Difference
Aboard the ultra-luxurious Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, refined elegance meets casual simplicity. With an emphasis on innovative product differentiation, the renowned Crystal experience is distinguished by classic service, abundant space, extensive choices and superior quality, providing worldwide vacations that bridge the best of land and sea.
| Carnival Enhances Fun Pass On-line Pre-Cruise Registration System, Further Expediting Embarkation Process MIAMI (February 13, 2008) – Carnival Cruise Lines has enhanced its “Fun Pass” on-line embarkation portal to allow guests the ability to register for the line’s shipboard credit card system and to electronically accept the Terms and Conditions of Passage prior to their cruise, thus further expediting the embarkation process.
Through the enhanced system, guests sailing with Carnival are now able to submit credit card information for their on-board “Sail & Sign” accounts via a secure encryption method and review/acknowledge the line’s ticket contract, both of which previously had to be completed manually during the check-in process at the cruise terminal. Another new feature enables Carnival's guests to designate a responsible party and pre-register up to three cabins at the same time in one session.
Carnival’s on-line embarkation portal, located at carnival.com/mycruise, was launched in 2003 to comply with the data-gathering requirements of U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). With “FunPass,” guests can register up to the day prior to sailing and are provided with a printable document allowing them to “fast track” through embarkation when they arrive at the cruise terminal.
“Currently, nearly 90 percent of all Carnival guests take advantage of the convenient on-line ‘Fun Pass’ system and these new enhancements will serve to further expedite the boarding process for embarking on their ‘Fun Ship’ cruise,” said Vicky Rey, Carnival’s vice president of reservations administration.
Carnival’s “FunPass” system is available in conjunction with departures on all 22 of the line’s ships which operate three- to 18-day voyages to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, Canada, New England, Bermuda, Europe, and South America.
| New Circle C Program Aimed At 12- To 14-Year-Olds Debuts Aboard Carnival's Fun Ships MIAMI (February 11, 2008) – Building upon its distinction as the family cruise leader, Carnival Cruise Lines has introduced a new on-board program called “Circle C” aimed specifically at the 12- to 14-year-old age group, with expansive new clubs, a full schedule of activities and trained staff.
The “Circle C” program complements the line’s other youth-oriented programming, including “Camp Carnival” for younger kids and “Club O2” for 15- to 17-year-olds, which combined are expected to host 600,000 kids this year – the most in cruising.
In conjunction with the launch of “Circle C” – and just in time for summer travel planning - Carnival is offering exceptionally attractive rates for families, with prices for third and fourth guests in a stateroom starting at $199 per person for three-day cruises and $329 per person for seven-day cruises on select dates. These rates are featured at carnival.com/family, which also contains a variety of helpful information on Carnival's youth programs.
“Circle C” facilities are already in place on Carnival Legend, Carnival Pride, Carnival Victory and Carnival Valor with Carnival Imagination, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Fantasy, Carnival Paradise and Carnival Glory scheduled to be retrofitted by the end of the year. The balance of the fleet is expected to be completed by 2010.
“Carnival has earned its position as the family cruise leader by investing significant research and resources into understanding kids’ unique vacation needs and expectations,” said Ruben Rodriguez, Carnival’s executive vice president of marketing and guest experience. “‘Circle C’ – with its high-tech spaces, fun-filled activities and energetic hosts – is a direct result of these efforts and reflects our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional vacations to guests of all ages,” he added.
Expansive ‘Circle C’ Facilities
The focal point of “Circle C” activities will be custom-designed clubs, providing 12- to 14-year olds a place to truly call their own.
The facilities feature a dance floor with high-tech sound and lighting system, along with 42-inch plasma-screen TVs displaying movies and music videos, and a touch-screen jukebox stocked with the latest hits. Also featured are gaming pods with the latest video games and consoles, with 20-inch plasma-screens positioned throughout the room and used exclusively for video gaming.
The facilities offer a sleek modern design created especially to appeal to younger teens, with a vibrant motif, oversized picture windows, and plush comfortable seating -- perfect for hanging out with new friends.
Special Activities
The “Circle C” program also offers a full schedule of activities, which include everything from sports such as basketball, volleyball, ping-pong and various water games to late-night movies and “swimming under the stars” pool parties. “Circle C” activities are listed in a special edition of Carnival Capers printed daily.
A new logo and branding campaign incorporating the “Circle C” theme of “cruise.chill.connect” has also been created.
‘Fun Ships’ Are Tops With Families
“Circle C” is just the latest enhancement to kid-friendly amenities aboard the “Fun Ships.” Children ages 2-11 can enjoy diverse activities and dedicated facilities of “Camp Carnival,” which continues to evolve with new 1,600-square-foot play areas on “Fantasy-class” ships and new programming fleetwide. For older kids, there’s the “Club O2” teen program featuring teen dance clubs, just for teens shore excursions, and more.
Also new is Carnival WaterWorks, an aqua park featuring a 300-foot-long twister water slide, dual-lane racing slides and water spray apparatus, currently rolled out as part of the “Evolutions of Fun” refurbishment program on select ships. Carnival Splendor, set to debut in July, will boast Carnival’s largest play area to date and a water spray park.
Other fleetwide features include babysitting services, stroller rentals, children’s menus, and a variety of spacious accommodation categories, with dozens of inter-connecting cabins -- ideal for large families or family gatherings.
Carnival is the world’s largest and most popular cruise line with 22 “Fun Ships” operating three- to 18-day voyages to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, Panama Canal, Canada, New England, Bermuda, Europe and South America. The line currently has three new ships on order between now and 2011.
| Love Sets Sail: Azamara Cruises and Celebrity Cruises Captains to Help Guests Tie The Knot at Sea Miami - (February 13, 2008 ) - The sailor's knot is known for being easy to tie but hard to break. Now, guests who wish to be married at sea by captains of Azamara Cruises' and Celebrity Cruises' ships will soon be able to "tie" their own steadfast "knot" at sea, when the lines launch legal, captain-led wedding ceremonies later this year to complement their existing vow renewal and in-port wedding offerings.
"While many of our guests come onboard seeking a once-in-a-lifetime wedding or vow renewal location, and we’ve been happy to provide them with in-port weddings led by a local official, their number-one request is for captains to perform the ceremony,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Azamara Cruises and Celebrity Cruises Vice President of Hotel Operations. “Now, we’re able to fulfill that wish, while sailing the open waters of the world."
Celebrity has long partnered with The Wedding Experience to offer onboard vow renewals at sea and in-port wedding ceremonies, and with the recent re-registration of seven of Celebrity’s eight ships in Malta, where Azamara’s two ships also are registered, government regulations have changed to allow for captains to perform legal marriages while the ships sail the seas of the world.
Guests being married at sea by Azamara and Celebrity captains will be offered a variety of packages that include anything from private receptions in their ship’s specialty restaurant to cake, champagne, and more. Basic captain-performed wedding packages begin at $2,500. Guests should book their wedding in advance of their sailing in order to allow time for the processing of licenses and other legal documents.
Guests who wish to take their love to new heights may also delight in Celebrity’s unique offering on its cruisetours to Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge and The Hotel Alyeska. There, guests can be married or renew their vows amidst the breathtaking hanging glaciers of the Girdwood Valley, or with stunning views of Mt. McKinley as a backdrop. These ceremonies can take place from June to September, as part of a Celebrity Cruises pre-or post-voyage cruisetour.
| Celebrity Cruises Unveils 'Top 10' on Celebrity Solstice
Miami - (February 06, 2008 ) - Ten of 2008's hottest new restaurants will open this fall, but diners won't need special connections to book a table. In fact, they won't even need directions, since the GPS coordinates will change daily. That's because the 10 restaurants are all on one of the world's most eagerly awaited new cruise ships: Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Solstice.
"The dining experience has always been central to our guests' cruise experience, and on Celebrity Solstice, we'll present the extraordinary service the brand is known for, in venues designed to perfectly complement the spectacular cuisine," said Celebrity's President and CEO Dan Hanrahan. "The larger size of Celebrity Solstice allows us to offer more options for our guests, with menus created by some of the best talent in the business."
"Celebrity has long been recognized as a leader in the culinary arena, and we're clearly taking it to the next level with Celebrity Solstice," said Richard D. Fain, Chairman and CEO of Celebrity's parent company, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. "In addition to outstanding cuisine, we believe the brand also will be recognized for some of the most impressive design work in the industry when Celebrity Solstice sets sail."
Celebrity partnered with some of the world's best designers in the hospitality business to create the restaurants onboard Celebrity Solstice; among them, preeminent restaurant and hotel designer Adam Tihany, who created such lauded restaurants as Per Se, Jean Georges, Le Cirque, The Sea Grill and Osteria del Circo in New York; Aureole, Bouchon and Seablue in Las Vegas; and Monte's and the chic Mandarin Bar at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London.
In his first foray into design onboard a cruise ship, Tihany created Celebrity Solstice's dramatic, two-level Grand Épernay dining room; the classic steakhouse, "Tuscan Grille," and the stylishly casual "Oceanview Café and Grill" on the ship's lido deck. His sophisticated, often groundbreaking design is evident on Celebrity Solstice in the Grand Épernay's two-story wine tower, to the Napa-meets-Old-World-Italy ambience in the ship's inviting Tuscan Grille.
Driving the creation of the tantalizing menus for each venue are Celebrity's Vice President of Food & Beverage Jacques Van Staden, in conjunction with Celebrity's culinary consultant Blau & Associates. Van Staden was previously one of the top chefs and restaurateurs in Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas. Blau & Associates is credited with shaping the dining experience at high profile destinations such as the Bellagio and Wynn Resort and Casino, and developing the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's Simon kitchen + bar, named one of the best new restaurants in America in 2003 by Esquire magazine.
Together with Celebrity's highly experienced Food and Beverage team at its Miami headquarters and across the fleet, Van Staden and the Blau & Associates team have carefully created menus for each restaurant onboard Celebrity Solstice based on a pairing of thorough studies of guests' culinary preferences and the latest dining trends from around the world. The team will take their creations into test kitchens later this month to ensure each selection meets Celebrity's discerning guests' tastes.
A "Taste" of Celebrity Solstice's Dining Venues:
The Grand Épernay
Old Hollywood glamour meets stunning contemporary design in this refined, sweeping main dining room created by Adam Tihany, highlighted by a distinctive, dramatic, two-story glass wine tower. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, evening entrée options include peppered bison filet with red onion preserve; smoked filet with lentil stew, sultana caper and beef jus; and taro-crusted salmon filet with glazed Brussels sprouts, turnip hash and apple cider sauce. A champagne collection from the region inspiring the venue's name includes Perrier Jouet Grand Brut, Moet & Chandon Dom Perignon, Heidsieck and Monopole, Champagne Pol Roger, and Louis Roederer Cristal.
Tuscan Grille
The Old World charm of Italy is the inspiration behind this Tihany-designed specialty venue, where guests enter through an archway reminiscent of a fine Napa Valley wine cellar. There, diners can enjoy Caesar salads prepared tableside, antipasti bar, Kobe beef, and a variety of steaks, all paired with a robust list of fine Italian wines.
Silk Harvest
Exotic Asia is the theme of this contemporary, casual specialty restaurant designed by RTKL. The menu serves up a fusion of hot and cold, spicy and mild Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese and Indian selections, while the specially-selected libations include a variety of sakes, Asian-influenced martinis and beers, and cocktails created with ginger root and acai berries.
Blu
"Clean cuisine" is served in this soothing specialty venue designed by Celebrity's own Newbuilding and Design team. A venue exclusively for guests booked in Celebrity Solstice's new AquaClass category of accommodations, Blu is open for other guests on a space-available basis. The menu features savory appetizers such as roasted beet salad with goat cheese; Mediterranean chopped salad with pita chips and pomegranate vinaigrette; and entrees including blackened ahi tuna, pan-seared filet mignon, and herb-crusted rack of lamb.
Murano
A twist on the restaurant of the same name on Celebrity Century, and reflective of the specialty restaurants on the cruise line's Millennium-class fleet, Murano presents a blend of classic and modern Continental cuisine. The warm, elegant restaurant designed by BG Studios of New York features dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows, with romantic ocean views that pair beautifully with the fine Riedel stemware, exquisite bone china and gleaming silverware. The wine cellar offers options from around the world, with a focus on boutique-style and limited-production vintages. Appetizers include warm goat cheese pancakes with sweet bell pepper nage; salads include a combination of Maine lobster, white asparagus and black truffle lobster aioli; and entrees run the gamut from spice-roasted duck with raisin-apple compote to pan-seared turbot with Alaskan King crab ragout.
Bistro on Five
A variety of specialty crepes highlight the menu in this casually-chic location, where guests are welcome to take out selections, but the ocean views are likely to entice them to stay. Designed by Wilson Butler Associates, the venue's creperie is complemented with sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts and entrees including quiche, fish and chips, baked ziti and chicken pot pie nearly around-the-clock.
Café al Bacio & Gelateria
This upscale coffeehouse radiates all the energy of a popular European café, highlighted by a sophisticated gelateria serving authentic gelatos and Italian ices, as well as signature and specialty coffees, teas, fresh-baked pastries, chocolate truffles and petit fours.
AquaSpa Café
The AquaSpa Café is the perfect option for guests seeking quick, lighter fare. A signature venue introduced on Celebrity's Millennium-class fleet, and designed by RTKL, the soothing, airy setting invites guests to dine at comfortable tables while soaking up the tranquility of the Solarium, or enjoy their cuisine while nestled in the comfort of the lounge chairs.
Mast Grill & Bar
Comfort food is the focus of this ultra-casual, poolside venue, where the simple, fast and tasty options include burgers grilled to order, tacos, nachos, hot dogs, bratwurst, chicken wings, lamb gyros, Reuben sandwiches, and onion rings.
Oceanview Café and Grill
Embodying the casually chic atmosphere of a European marketplace, this Tihany-designed restaurant offers extensive menus with international flavors that change to reflect the regions in which the ship is sailing. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the venue offers plenty of outdoor seating for dining al fresco and soaking up the sun and sea air. Inside, during evening hours, a special section of the venue features tables draped with linen tablecloths for yet another casual dining option.
Celebrity Cruises offers comfortably sophisticated, upscale cruise experiences with highly personalized service, exceptional dining, and extraordinary attention to detail. Celebrity sails in Alaska, Australia/New Zealand, California, Canada/New England, the Caribbean, Europe, Galapagos Islands, Hawaii, the Pacific Coast, Panama Canal and South America.
The line also offers unique land-tour vacations in Alaska, Canada, Europe and Australia through its cruisetour affiliate. Noted for "The Top Cruise Ships in the World," as voted by the readers of Conde' Nast Traveler (February 2008 readers’ poll), Celebrity's current fleet will be joined by Celebrity Solstice in 2008, Celebrity Equinox in 2009, Celebrity Eclipse in 2010, and a fourth Solstice-class ship in 2011.
| NCL Corporation Announces Adjustments to Hawai'i Fleet Honolulu - Feb 11, 2008 --- NCL Corporation ("NCL") today announced the withdrawal of Pride of Aloha from the Hawai'i market effective May 11, 2008. The ship is being transferred to Star Cruises and will be reflagged and deployed in Asia in the summer of 2008.
The remaining year-round ship in Hawai'i will be the larger and newer Pride of America, introduced in 2005, a vessel specifically designed and built for Hawai'i cruising. The company announced, and put on sale, Pride of America's sailings through 2010 offering its popular inter-island cruises departing every Saturday from Honolulu.
Since the announcement a year ago of Pride of Hawai'i's temporary transfer to NCL's European deployment, renamed as Norwegian Jade, the company has embarked on a major fleet-wide initiative called Freestyle 2.0 featuring significant product and hardware upgrades to its modern fleet, including Pride of America. The Freestyle 2.0 program will further enhance the on-board experience taking Freestyle Cruising to the next level. Enhancements include a major investment in the total dining experience; upgrading the stateroom experience; new wide ranging on-board activities for all guests; additional recognition, service and amenities for balcony, suite and villa guests; and the establishment of casual action-station restaurants taking the place of the "traditional" buffet experience. Freestyle 2.0 will be in place on Pride of America and across NCL's fleet, now the youngest fleet in the cruise industry, by the middle of May 2008.
"Pride of Aloha pioneered the new inter-island market but, as we move forward with Freestyle 2.0 to take our product to the next level across what is already the youngest fleet in the industry, we cannot justify further investment in this ship," said Andy Stuart, NCL's executive vice president of marketing, sales and passenger services. "Withdrawing Pride of Aloha was an extremely difficult but necessary commercial decision; however we see a strong future for the long-term flagship in Hawai'i, Pride of America. In Pride of America, we have created a commercially successful modern U.S. Flag cruise ship home ported in Hawai'i - the first time that has ever been achieved. With Pride of America, we are offering a high quality product, on a world class ship sailing one of the most exciting itineraries available in the industry.
"With today's announcement of Pride of America's itinerary through 2010, our guests and travel partners can choose a Freestyle Cruising vacation on a big, modern ship visiting all four main islands and featuring more time to explore ashore than any other cruise line sailing in Hawai'i. In the longer term, as demand continues to grow for this premium experience, we hope to bring back our other modern purpose-built U.S.-flag ship, Pride of Hawai'i."
Guests booked on Pride of Aloha
For guests booked on Pride of Aloha from May 11, 2008 and beyond, NCL is holding space and will offer the same cruise fare as they currently have paid on their Pride of Aloha cruise if they would like to transfer to the same week on Pride of America, departing one day earlier. In addition:
-Guests will receive a $100 per person on-board credit (up to $200 per stateroom).
-For guests who made their air and/or hotel arrangements through NCL, NCL will protect the rates they currently have paid and cover any air or hotel change fees.
-For guests who purchased their own air, NCL will protect up to the first $100 per person of any increase in air costs and cover up to $75 per person in air change fees.
-For guests who made independent hotel arrangements, NCL will cover any hotel change fees up to $25 per person.
Guests may book any other NCL cruise and receive a $100 per person on-board credit (up to $200 per stateroom) if they rebook by March 7, 2008. In addition, NCL will cover up to $75 per person in air change fees and up to $25 per person in hotel change fees. Guests may cancel their cruise and receive a full refund if NCL is notified by March 7, 2008. In addition, NCL will cover up to $75 per person in air change fees and up to $25 per person in hotel change fees. After March 7, 2008 cancellation fees will apply in accordance with NCL's cancellation policy.
Pride of America's deployment announced through 2010
Following a 14-day scheduled dry dock in Hawai'i from April 26, 2008 to May 10, 2008, Pride of America will sail its four main island itinerary with a change in order of ports including an overnight in Nawiliwili, Kaua'i; an afternoon cruise of the breathtaking Napali Coast; Hilo, Hawai'i; an evening sail by Mount K+lauea; Kona, Hawai'i; and an overnight in Kahului, Maui.
All of the Freestyle 2.0 enhancements will be rolled out on Pride of America during the ship's dry-dock.
Launched in 2005, Pride of America has over 660 balcony staterooms, the broadest range of family-friendly interconnecting cabins available at sea, a choice of nine different restaurants and 12 dining options, multiple entertainment venues, three pools, extensive children's facilities, an abundance of spacious public rooms, and the largest dedicated meeting facilities at sea. All inspired by the diverse regions of America.
Cabotage Issues
Commenting on the Pride of Aloha withdrawal, NCL's President and CEO Colin Veitch said: "Our Hawai'i business has been extraordinarily difficult, and although we have progressively established a stable operation, delivering a good product in a great destination, the overall price level in the market has been driven down, to a significant degree, by an unprecedented expansion of capacity from low-cost foreign flag ships based on the west coast operating domestic Hawai'i itineraries that the Customs Service has indicated are legally the preserve of U.S. flag ships.
"We have invested heavily in U.S. flag cruising in reliance on our nation's cabotage laws providing a level playing field in Hawai'i. Our remaining ship, Pride of America, is generating an encouraging profit now, and we project a continued improvement in this one-ship operation as the unique nature of Hawai'i, from a cabotage standpoint, is clarified and restored. In due course, we would then expect, and hope, to be able to grow our U.S. flag business back to two profitable ships by reintroducing Pride of Hawai'i."

| Carnival Fantasy to Under Full Evolutions of Fun Upgrades This Fall MIAMI (January 28, 2008) - An expansive new aqua park featuring a 300-foot-long water slide, along with an exclusive adults-only area, and a totally redesigned “resort-style” main pool will be incorporated into the Carnival Fantasy when the 2,052-passenger SuperLiner undergoes a multi-million-dollar dry dock this fall.
The “extreme makeover” represents phase two of “Evolutions of Fun,” Carnival Cruise Lines’ $250 million extensive ship refurbishment program for the line’s eight 70,000-ton Fantasy-class vessels.
Carnival Fantasy, which operates year-round four- and five-day western Caribbean cruises from New Orleans, will be the third ship to be fully outfitted with all “Evolutions of Fun” upgrades, with Carnival Inspiration and Carnival Imagination completed in recent months.
“Carnival Fantasy – already a fantastic cruise vacation option from New Orleans, one of America's great cities – will be even better following the implementation of our incredible new ‘Evolutions of Fun' features,” said Ruben Rodriguez, Carnival’s executive vice president of marketing and guest experience.
New Aqua Park, Adults-Only Area, Redesigned Main Pool
Taking center stage on the Carnival Fantasy's Verandah Deck will be Carnival WaterWorks, a spectacular aqua park featuring a four-deck-high 300-foot-long corkscrew water slide – the longest, most elaborate at sea – along with an 82-foot-long dual-lane racing slide, and various water spray apparatus creating cool and exhilarating fun for kids and adults, alike.
Located aft will be Serenity, an exclusive adults-only outdoor retreat designed as an ocean-going oasis for relaxation, tranquility and comfort. Offering magnificent ocean vistas, Serenity will feature plush chaise lounges and chairs, colorful oversized umbrellas, two whirlpools, and a separate area where guests can relax in shaded comfort. Bar service will be provided with waiters offering a tempting selection of icy cocktails and frozen concoctions.
The new resort-style main pool area, located mid-ship, will feature striking umbrellas providing shaded seating at pool’s edge along the tiled “beach” bordering the circumference of the pool. A thatched roof will cover one of the two whirlpools at either end of the swimming pool, while towering faux palm trees, along with more thatched roofing over new, centrally positioned staircases will further enhance the tropical ambiance.
Other ‘Evolutions of Fun’ Upgrades
These new enhancements will complement the wide range of “Evolutions of Fun” upgrades incorporated into the Carnival Fantasy during earlier dry docks. These include completely renovated staterooms with flat-screen TVs and other amenities, a nine-hole miniature golf course, a renovated 12,000-square-foot Spa Carnival facility, updated dining rooms, a New York-style deli, an atrium lobby bar, a new conference facility, a patisserie serving specialty coffees and sweets and new photo and art galleries.
A number of family-friendly amenities – including expansive new facilities for children and teens, part of the top-rated “Camp Carnival” and “Club O2” programs, respectively – along with more than 50 interconnecting staterooms, have been added, as well.
High-tech sound and lighting systems for a host of live music and entertainment venues have also been incorporated.
Attractive Short Cruise Itineraries from New Orleans
The namesake of the Fantasy-class, Carnival Fantasy operates four- and five-day cruises to Mexico from New Orleans – the only ship operating year-round from the Big Easy.
On this popular route, four-day cruises depart Thursday and call at Cozumel while five-day voyages visit Progreso and Cozumel. Carnival also offers pre- and post-cruise land stays in New Orleans to provide guests the opportunity to experience and explore the city's unique architecture, legendary nightlife and outstanding restaurants.
Reservations
Carnival is currently accepting reservations for all of the Carnival Fantasy's four- and five-day departures from New Orleans. For additional information and reservations, contact Cruise Vacation World at 1-888-828-7327 (SEAS).
